Well Intervention and Rehabilitation

A well that has stopped producing is not always depleted. We diagnose why production fell and define the intervention that restores the reservoir's potential, from cleaning to re-entry or sidetracking, using the method and pressure control required by the well.

Working Methodology

Our approach starts with the existing well, not the one that would be designed today, and combines diagnosis, intervention engineering, and control at every stage

1. Well Diagnosis

Production history, available logs, current pressure conditions, and probable cause of the production drop.

2. Integrity Assessment

Condition of casing and completion, diameter restrictions and accumulated tortuosity during the productive life of the well.

3. Strategy Definition

Cleanouts, remediation, stimulation, re-entry or sidetrack; with workover, rigless or coiled tubing; under conventional conditions or with controlled pressure, depending on the reservoir pressure.

4. Intervention Engineering

Intervention programme, string and bottomhole assembly selection, hydraulic design and directional plan when there is a sidetrack.

5. Well control and contingencies

Barriers, operations matrix, procedures for live well intervention, H₂S management and escalation criteria agreed before mobilization.

6. Service Integration

Coordination of coiled tubing, wireline, cementing and fluids through alliance with the companies that each scope requires, while maintaining technical responsibility.

7. Execution and monitoring

Field supervision, real-time monitoring, and program adjustment based on well response.

8. Evaluation of results and closure

Production testing, comparison against the baseline, and technical documentation of the project.
