Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Water Wells
A well with reduced flow rate is not necessarily depleted. We identify the true cause of the drop, whether it's mineral buildup, gravel pack clogging, bacterial growth, or screen deterioration, and apply the treatment that restores its capacity for a fraction of the cost of drilling a new one.
Working Methodology
Our approach starts with a measured, not assumed, diagnosis and verifies recovery against a baseline at each stage
1. Well diagnosis
Flow history, static and dynamic levels, water quality and well construction background.
2. Removal of the string and pumping equipment
Recovery of the pumping column and the electrical submersible pump.
3. Video inspection
Condition of the casing and the screen: encrustation, clogging, corrosion or structural damage.
4. Maintenance of surface equipment
Inspection and maintenance of the pump column, the electrical submersible pump, the motor and the cable.
5. Definition of treatment
Chemical, mechanical or structural repair, according to what the inspection showed.
6. Cleaning, treatment and redevelopment
Brushing, pistoning and air lift, chemical treatment and disinfection, and redevelopment to obtain clear, sand-free water.
7. Video verification
New inspection to confirm the final condition of the well before reinstalling the equipment.
8. Reinstallation, production testing and delivery
Equipment lowering, production test, comparison against well history, preventive maintenance recommendations and technical documentation.
